Pegasus is expanding its volunteer coordinator roles to meet the demand of a growing and highly-valued part of the organisation. You will administer, coordinate and facilitate all aspects of Pegasus' volunteer program. Fulltime and part time roles available.

Pegasus is expanding its volunteer coordinator roles to meet the demand of a growing and highly-valued part of the organisation. You will administer, coordinate and facilitate all aspects of Pegasus' volunteer program. Fulltime and part time roles available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Executive General Manager and General Manager of Programs to identify and promote avenues for volunteer uptake and support through communication mediums such as the SnapShot (fortnightly volunteer newsletter), HoofPrint (Pegasus newsletter), social and traditional media, brochures and collateral, in liaison with Pegasus' Communications Manager.
- Update and maintain all volunteer records and information on the Pegasus database (Donman/iMIS); enquiry forms; application forms; WWVC; orientation and training.
- Administer, coordinate and facilitate volunteer induction.
- Coordinate and support regular and ongoing volunteer training utilising volunteer strengths and interests to match various roles within Pegasus.
- Liaise with staff and Coaches to develop volunteer rosters.
- Communicate clear and concise messages and instructions for volunteers through various mediums; email, phone, face-to-face.
- Provide feedback and support to all volunteers.
- Ensure all legislative and organisational requirements relating to volunteers are communicated and met, including; WWVC, WH&S, Code of Conduct, and including Pegasus' policies and procedures.
- Identify and organise opportunities to recognise and reward volunteers.
- Keep abreast of industry and volunteer trends through membership opportunities with key stakeholders; Volunteering ACT.
Selection Criteria – Essential:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable to change with an ability to work under pressure.
- Good stakeholder management, allowing you to manage people and projects to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- High standards of execution and an ability to follow and develop efficient processes.
- A practical, 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to contribute within a small, dynamic team.
- Experience with MS Office essential.
- Commitment to the core values and aims of Pegasus; cultural fit with the team and an understanding of Pegasus objectives.
Selection Criteria – Desirable:
- Experience working in the charitable sector.
- An understanding of disabilities and a love of horses.
