Riders Fact Sheet Rider Handbook

Riders

Pegasus provides lessons and equestrian activities for riders with a disability as well as riders without a disability.

How are classes structured?

All classes at Pegasus are structured on the basis of the rider's ability. Wherever possible riders participate in an integrated way, with riders with a disability riding alongside riders without a disability. This allows riders to progress at a rate appropriate to their development and provides appropriate challenges for all riders. All lessons and activities are supervised by our nationally accredited coaches. Some are staff coaches and some are volunteers, but all have undergone extensive training and been assessed by the national Riding for the Disabled Association as qualified coaches.
