2018 Pegasus Volunteer of the Year Awards
On Saturday, 8 December we presented our Volunteer Appreciation Awards – recognising the outstanding volunteering efforts and milestones of some very special people. Congratulations to our volunteers and thank you for all you do here at Pegasus – we really appreciate it!
In addition to their volunteering efforts, The Lions Club of Canberra Belconnen (along with the Australian Lions Foundation) has also been incredibly supportive in providing new energy efficient lighting to our large indoor arena to make it easier to see in the afternoon classes and in the evening. Thank you Lions, everyone at Pegasus really appreciates your support.

Last year as part of the STAR program at her school, Lyneham High, she successfully nominated Pegasus to be the beneficiary of funds raised at a bake sale during the school musical which raised a wonderful $500 for Pegasus. Thank you Eliya, we really appreciate your time and commitment to Pegasus.
Volunteer of the Year:
Overall contribution to Pegasus
Ann loves the Pegasus ponies, always taking the opportunity to spend more time with them by offering to take them to the strip at the end of the day. She has a lovely nature with the participants – kind, understanding and always encouraging them to do their best.
As well as classes, Ann is an invaluable support to Pegasus as an event volunteer. Ann is there year after year at our annual Golf Day and Open Day helping us to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Pegasus. She also stepped up and did a brilliant job helping out at our recent inaugural FUN-khana. Wherever possible, Ann is there flying the Pegasus flag and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Congratulations and thank you Ann for all you do here at Pegasus – we really appreciate it.
